Endurance Meets Intuition
What does it take to push your body for 17 hours straight, through 3.8 km of open water, 180 km of cycling, and a full marathon?
For Shaily Chauhan, an Ironman triathlete, plant-based nutritionist, and mentor to over 100 women athletes, endurance isn’t about pushing harder, it’s about listening deeper.
In this episode of the Intimate Queen Podcast, hosted by Neli Kools, Shaily shares how endurance, recovery, and mindfulness intertwine, proving that true strength comes from balance, not burnout.
The Moment Everything Changed
In 2017, Shaily met with a severe bike accident while training for her Ironman Triathlon. Despite following every workout and physiotherapy session, her injuries kept returning, until she realized the answer wasn’t more effort, but more awareness.
“I realized my body wasn’t a machine, it’s my friend,” she says. “Once I began honoring it instead of controlling it, everything shifted.”
For women training for HYROX, marathons, or triathlons, her story is a powerful reminder that rest, recovery, and self-listening are as crucial as performance itself.
Redefining Strength and Softness
Shaily’s biggest lesson? “Being strong and being soft aren’t opposites.”
To her, real power lies in knowing when to pause, when to ask for help, and when to slow down.
Her philosophy, rooted in plant-based nutrition, hormonal health, and emotional intelligence, encourages women to find harmony between endurance and empathy.
It’s a mindset that especially resonates with women athletes across India and the UAE, balancing heat, hormones, and high performance.
When Stress Shows on Skin
“Your skin tells your story,” Shaily explains.
Training too hard without recovery can disrupt your gut-brain connection, affecting hormones and showing up as fatigue, acne, or irregular cycles.
Her insight mirrors Intimate Queen’s mission, merging skin science with comfort-first design to support women’s wellness from the inside out.
Recovery That Feels Like Skincare
As a daily user of Intimate Queen’s Ceramide Bra and Yew Tree Bae Hipsters, Shaily calls them her “post-workout essentials.”
“After long rides or runs, my skin feels tired and itchy. Older bras left marks and rashes.
The ceramide-infused bra feels like skincare, breathable, soft, and healing.
And the Yew Tree Bae Hipster is my cycling savior, no chafing, no elastic burns, just comfort with care.”
Crafted from plant-based fabrics and powered by wellness technology, these pieces redefine recovery wear for athletes, keeping women cool, supported, and rash-free even after the toughest training days.
Listen. Recover. Rise.
Whether you’re cycling 100 km, training for HYROX, or chasing your next triathlon finish line, your strength begins with softness.
Recovery isn’t optional, it’s intelligent self-care.
